A survey by Parker’s shows that the government’s £2000 car scrappage scheme is "unpopular".  According to an article by the BBC, car buyers were able to get larger discounts merely by negotiating than by trading in a scrap car in exchange for a £2000 discount.

At WickfordCars we have been publicly sceptical since the government’s plan was first mooted.  This new survey further vindicates our position.

The message from the survey is clear, if you want the best discount, bring your scrap car, van or motorbike to WickfordCars.  Part exchange it for one of our quality used vehicles. Alternatively, we’ll give you CASH which you can keep or put towards a new car at a new car dealer.
